Dominance War IV - SkullTaker Break Down
This character I created for the Dominance War IV online challenge.
After finished the whole character. I'v made a series of video tutorials to present my workflow and thoughts. The tutorials is made by Chinese language. You can watch it through the below link:
First of all, my concept is influenced by Warhammer series. Sketch ideas on paper at the beginning.
I'v decided to make a speed sketch model in ZBrush, and then use as a base to paint on.
High-poly model takes me about 2 weeks to finish.
After high-poly done. I use topogun to re-topo the whole model, then make low-poly model in 3dsmax. Use alpha to present hole details on wings.

1set of 2048 x 2048 textures for this character. Another set of texture for table base.
The table base designed like a damaged highway, lava around it.
Realtime presented in Marmoset toolbag.
Another test present use UDK.
Here is the beauty shot rendered in 3dsmax and composed in nuke.
